Some or I expect most of you would of seen the heavy rain and flooding that took place early this week.
Well we were greatly affected by it, the whole of the downstairs of our house has to be totally redecorated meaning we could be living in rented accomadation for 6 months at least.
The rant comes that I now may be forced to sell every reptile I have.
This includes all my corns, my prized irian jaya carpets, my albino grey bands, amazon tree boas, and crested gecko.
I know I cant do anything about it but it really has hacked me off a treat that I may have to do this.
Add to the fact that some idiot was driving at 110 mph on my side of the road forcing me into a grass bank which has damaged my car and im a pretty hacked off guy.
I really dont want to sell my collection but I may have no choice, so watch this space

No chance, the only people I trust with my reptiles is my family.
All my mates hate reptiles, when it comes to stuff like this, I trust no one with them.
In 5 years of keeping snakes ive let one person look after one of them because theyre daughter wanted to learn about them.

that sucks mate sorry to hear about it, you should try and find someone on here that will look after them for you for a small fee, you say you dont trust anyone with them but of your selling them anyway they will have to go to someone, at least if someone looks after them for you, you can vet the person and check up on your pets regularly.

Don't sell!! I know it's hard to trust people to look after your reps but I'm sure there are a lot of people here who would be willing to board them for the electric/feeding costs, and surely that is better than selling them.

Really sorry you're in this situation but I hope there is some halfway compromise where you don't have to sell up everything.

Its just a question of finding someone, some of these snakes are nasty pieces of work and not all corns, its a real mix.
I would need someone fairly local, but there seems to be no one that could take on another 13 snakes and a crestie.
I will of course pay anyone that can do this but it really is the trust issue that is holding me back, I know most of the keepers on here are more than capable.
I just feel that recently luck has gone against me in so many ways that my spirit and confidence and love for reptiles has gone, it really is a horrible feeling
