Anyone who reads anatomy books is interested in Biology, but they do not call themselves a "Biologist" Everyone here is a Herpetoculturist, people interested in Herps in a hobbyist/amateur way, they may do research into species but they do not study their subjects scientifically nor do they perform novel research on Herps. Some people on here will also be Herpetologists. I'd class these people as those, qualified or not, who actively take part in scientific research into Herps or someone who is professionally employed to work specifically with Herps in a scientific environment and conducting research.
