Just double check you don't need Cites paperwork as if you do I think you have to be prepared to show the paperwork at customs.. whatever you do don't lie about it.. because they will not be pleased if you say you've got clothes in a suitcase and it's full of snakes. It's perfectly legal to bring back snakes as long as they have the paperwork if they are a CITES species... other species don't need anything, but you should probably keep the receipt to show the origin just in case

theres a list on the defra web site, i cant find the link just now, but a google search will find it.

Also, watch anything on dwa.

Basic rule is that you should know about any animal you plan on buying, so will know if its restriced or on any lists. If you buy CB stock and have the reciept stating they are CB, and the latin name to hand, then you should not have any problems other than customs who dont know about the rules etc, who may then need to check up on what you are saying.

We came back yesterday and sailed right on through with no probs.

Also, if your getting something for anyone, and charging for the service, or planning on selling the snake on for a profit etc, then you may well be subject to the transportation rules, so you should check that out as well.
