I think the tubs themselves are 23 Cm's tall including the lid, do you not have the tub there which you can measure?

Ok, I actually have 20 18 litre Really useful boxes that i keep in a racking system with the lids on, but holes drilled for ventilation. I prefer them lidded as they are more secure in my opinion.

Perhaps you could try keeping the lids if you cant get an answer?

A 50 ltr RUB is 210mm high without the lid I have a few and measured this for ya and as said 230mm high with the lid. Obviously add another 5-10 mm to that to allow for heatmatts or cable and clearance to remove the tub from the rack.

TBH one of the reasons I spent so much more money getting RUBs instead of normal plastic tubs was that they had such secure locking mechanisms - if you plan on racking without lids it may be better value for money to look into cheaper boxes

Spot on they are great only bettered by the IKEA tubs IMO which is why I am about to order this 16x 50ltr lidless rack. For my sub adult Carpets.

Jon - what are you going to use to heat that? May get a bit pricey - it looks like there will be a lot of air circulation so boxes won't retain heat as well. Also cause it's so tall are you going to have several thermostats on it?

Thanks for measuring them for me.
How is it best to heat a rack if I have a wooden one, where should the heatmats go, is it best under the bottom at the back of the tubs? or can it run down the back of the rack?
Thanks
Dawn
