I think you have a misconception of UK shows.

It is very unusual to find anything like monitors at shows, likewise with most lizards except leos/fat tails and beardies and the odd cham

With big money things/high end morphs you're dealing with (in the most part) with the same breeders and traders as you would be if you brought one from anywhere but a shop.

ie genetic gems sell their morphs at shows but not really much/any cheaper than their list prices on the website, it's not like Hamm and the larger expos in onther countries where you are dealing with a bigger variety of animals and closer to wholesale prices on some stalls.

You get the odd bargain but generall, if you have seen prices on here or have had prices off breeders then they are exactly the amount you should expect to pay at a show.

Apart from a few animals on that list you won't find many of those animals at all, unless you pre arrange it with a breeder/vendor who you know is going and in that case it will simply be whatever price they have the animals at anyway.

It's cheaper than shops (mostly) with a better selection but you still only really see what you'd expect to see at a *good* rep shop (just in much much higher numbers).

Ie plenty of leos, corns,boas etc.

Are the only animals you are likely to see, some (BRBs and ATB's etc) are seasonal and less likely to be found, basically only if a breeder who has surplus stock lives in travelling distance, or one who is willing to travel miles with some attends will you see any.

don't expect to pay much less than breeder prices ie albino royals will be between £700-£2000, you do get the odd bargain and obviously can try to haggle on the day but in the most part the savings are not massive.

Massive savings will only be made by people that only buy animals from petshops, ie those who don't know about, can't get to (etc) breeders for any animals.

That's a fair point by Mason there, if you are looking for something in particular, it is best to try and source a breeder or exhibitor who will be attending, that's what I did for Barking and it paid off, there was nothing there that interested me so I'm glad I got the breeder to bring me specific animals.

Your best bet would be to take a sum of money that you are willing to part with and see what you can get (if anything) on the day.
