Default the most annoying thing ever!

You buy a box of crix from your local pet store and you get home and about 80% of them are already dead!!!

So then your dragon ends up with only 5 crix left to eat for the day

Usually a pet shop would notice that and give you a second box with it. Try putting the box in warm place may be the case they are cold and dont move much. Unless the bodies are falling to bits then yea thats pretty naff.

i'm seriously thinking of buying online. My local pet store is just crap anyway. I hate them.

Anyone recommend any decent and cheap online reptile food site? The only one i know is livefoods and they always seem to be out of stock of everything i want

Rickeeeze is great for livefoods; do a search on the forum and you will find him. I need to get an order in for some stuff as soon as this stupid postal strike is over.

I always spend ages checking the boxes over in my local store to make sure there are no/minimal dead ones. The real problem is with the locusts in the white sacks, as its hard to see how many dead ones there are. When buying from a store, I try and plan to go in the day after the food delivery to get the freshest stuff.

Default Live Food

You could try allpet.co.uk not tried them myself as got some fairly decent pet shops near me. Some one else told me about allpet. Said they were okay suppliers but can't say from my own opinion. I know there is one called livefoodsforgood.co.uk that supports reptile rescue as well.

Did you check the tub before you bought them?

I had a quick look, but i was mainly distracted talking to this kid who wanted a bearded dragon and i was telling him everything i know. He seemed to really appreciate the info too ^.^

But that was the day after their foods delivery ~_~ Just a good job i bough bulk otherwise my poor BD would be clawing my eyes out by now, shouting at me for not giving her food.

Just so mad i paid for this stuff and got a box of dead crickets!
