OK this morning I got bitten (again!) and I thought it might be a bit of fun for you all to have a guess at what I was savaged(!) by!
Pic was taken about 5 mins after the event and has since swollen to about twice what you see here........

looks like a Hognose bite.

Well rats can be very dangerous! I have nightmares when i see the pics of unattended live fed snakes.....

This thing is maybe 4 inches long!! But yes your right they can be dangerous to herps if fed live and unattended

woohooo i guessed right,even before i saw the answer,

evil little things arent they, i got bit sunday as the stupid rat moved her nest onto the shelf in her cage was moving last few off the shelf n she got away from the wife who was ment to be keeping her occupied, was just bout to pull hand out when i got savaged, on my right wrist, she a rex so looks scruffy n is really evil hence why she is named grotbags,
