Ahh im all nervous! I'm starting a new job tomorrow at the London Aquarium. I'm working there just for 3 months, 1 day a week (ill have to commute from ipswich) to do tour guiding, public talks, looking after the rays etc, which is going to be wicked but now im all scared!!

If you're coming by on wednesdays this summer stop and say hi to the blonde girl rambling about polychaetes and jellyfish to all the bored tourists who just want to see the sharks!

ipswich is only about an hour and 10mins from liverpool street, so its not that far, the only other marine centre is Great Yarmouth, which would still take an hour or more to drive to. They have an enormous Arrawana there which i love!

Nice one, Im sure youll have fun We make a yearly pilgrimage to London Aquarium, I could sit in front of the ocean tanks for hours. The rainforest/swamp/whatever you call it area is awesome as well, we spent ages trying to get the archers to spit lol. I also found a cricket in the toilet, who must have escaped feeding time

Only downside is that EVERY time we have gone (always during term time), the place is crawling with out-of-control children on school trips. Last visit some of them were quite friendly, but mostly they just get in the way and shout a lot. Very annoying.
