Well firstly don't worry. 752 votes is hardly anything to worry about...

Buuuut.. The reason for people getting salmonella poisoning is because the idiots don't know or are too lazy to wash their bloody hands after handling the reptiles! Ignorance is not an excuse that people shouldn't keep reptiles as pets!

Also.. they fail to mention the number of people hospitalized by dogs eh?
But then again the majority of attacks by pet dogs is due to mistreatement

752 votes... and it's a USA petition... I'm guessing it's not that popular a campaign!

Definately not! Lol.
I bet this person has never even been in contact with a reptile
Still.. I love dogs (even though i've never been allowed one)
I love my cat.
But i think having reptiles is alot more exciting lol

Not ot mention that's a US site/US petition.

You could find 700+ people in the good old US of A who would put their name to anything.

I'd be willing to bet you could find 700 people who would sign on the dotted line to anything you can imagine.

true, it's just a meaningless thing, don't forget the UK is tiny in comparison and during the 2001 national censes over 390 000 people put their religion as "Jedi" or "jedi knight"

Like I said, in the states 700 signatures would not be hard to find for any cause.

i sometimes forget to wash my hands after handling.. i've never been ill. I think salmonella must be rare - i hardly hear of anything where someone has been ill?

Plus, what about those reptiles that don't produce eggs, i.e. Boa's... they cant have salmonella can they??
