Default Reptile Medicines/Aid Kits?

Just want to find out what the majority have used, are using or have ready to go medical/aid wise for your Reptiles.

Try to keep the thread just to your suggestions or what you use or have. Will make it easier for others to read whats out there etc etc.

Can be anything medical/aid wise from Worming to Critical care to Antiseptic Creams?. If you have an actual kit just list what you have.

I want to use some of the info for myself to build up my own kit, but though the info would be good for others.

It would help if you can say where you purchased the stuff especially with things that are not so obvious to find and whether it can be used safely with all reptiles.

Thanks
Sy

Well as far as what i've used myself I can say I always have stock of Tamodine, it's great for anything from cuts and dropped tails to escapee frogs covered in fluff!! I've also got Panacur 2.5% deworming solution which is simple and safe to administer to geckos with various worms, and a great product for anyone with dehydrated animals (one of my females got a bit eggbound with an enormous egg and afterwards she looked really ill) is Dioralyte. Its an electrolyte solution in sachet form that you mix with water and sit them in for a couple of hours in a warm spot.

both my parents are ambulance technicians.. and im high first aid trained... for humans :P

sterile water can still be used for reps...

we have some hibiscrub (another term for reptile scrub) its pink and celans wounds..

we also ahve a clear gel. wich is safe for ALL animals including reps. wich will heal a wound and makes a fke skin in the place untill vet treatment can be got.

we also have pads and gauzes (all sterile)

as for creams and stuff .. iw ouldnt recoment any1 stocking them unless they run a repti rescue...

the kit we have is not set aside for the reps... its just stuff we have in the house that can be used on the reps

peace

James

My kit contains:

Panacur Paste
Pancur 2.5% Liquid
Baytril (prescription)
Sterile Needles
Sterile syringes
Iodine
Tamodine
Limestone Flour
Critical Care
Avipro Plus
Mite Off
Shed Ease
Vinegar (for making them let go of bites!)
Olive Oil (for help with mites)
Powdered Glucose (sugar water for rehydration and stimulation)

And I think that's it
