It is CITES, (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) It's used for certain species considered in any way endangered such as some tortoises etc. and you need to register and I think you need a certificate of some kind...

its not a courier licence but it does let you have dangerous wild animals Are you thinking of DEFRA?

no,... you never have to pay attention to anyone unless they are sensible and respectful. any kid that thinks he's all that is mistaken and should be put in his place.

An Article 10, this also states what exactly what you are allowed to use the animal for. You only need or should get one if you buy the animal in question, as the seller will need tit to be allowed to sell it to you. If you are 'gifted' an animal, such as a tortoise you don't actually need one, unless you are going to use it for commercial purposes, but you do need a letter stating that the animal was gifted from the person giving it to you.

So many types or licence and registrations that MAY apply.

If you looking at leos, the only thing you need to worry about is the AWA, ie, making sure your leo has safe spund suitable enviroment and sufficiant amounts of suitable food , water and heating.

If you were to breed commercially or transport him commercially, ie charge for a delivery, you will need a transporters licence, but tbh, i dont think thats a problem for you at the moment !

Sit back and enjoy !
