Default Reptile gypsies?

is that what we are? we seem to fly from forum to forum, classifieds to classifieds. why is this? i never figured it out.

It used to be that if i wanted to see stuff for sale i'd go to cviewmedia.com and if i wanted a forum it was either reptilecrazy, boamad or livefoods.... LF being the busiest generally.

but everybody keeps moving around.

It's crazy.

kind of a pointless thread really.

but who remembers these old schoo' classifieds and forums?

also who remembers when they used to sell herps at invert fairs? now that WAS a long time ago.

Well I only use this forum - only so many hours in the day and I just don't have time to be everywhere so I have settled here.

Back when I was using Livefoods Forum it had about 200 members and was absolutely tiny - I couldn't believe how much reptile keeping had grown when I got back from a few years travelling and being offline.

Classifieds are everywhere now - the sale of reptiles is much more widespread, but unfortunately with that comes the fact that feedback and verification and reputation systems are almost zero now... so many different people advertising in so many different places, it is very hard to know who's genuine and who's not.

I am a member on other forums, but I don't find them merely as interesting or as busy compared to here.

As for classifieds, I tend to look around all of them, as some advertisers dont know them all and may just post on the first one they find, well worth a browse for something you want.

i used to be a member of one forum only - this one, but since it got mahoosive and most of the old regulars left for pastures new I've joined loads more and even started my own. I think this one is good for information and help, but the smaller ones better for the banter.
