Default Disturbing vid on YouTube

Sorry if you guys are already aware of this video;

Personally I found this video rather disturbing. I am sure this may be mimmicking natural behavior in some way but I feel this was rather sick and is not required behavior of responsible keepers. The owners who found this 'sport' entertaining are not to be applauded IMO.

It is abuse of all of the lizards featured and not just the 'victim'.

***WARNING - Shows the violent death of a lizard - may upset some***

STOP WATCHING YOUTUBE NASTIES!!!!!!

you only improve the popularity of the vid in question, and no one really wants to see them. there was a phase when they were being posted on here all the time.

Its inappropriate. just report it on the tube and forget about it, dont advertise it.

Sorry if i sound harsh, but there have been countless threads like these.

Its okay (I am pleased you apologised for your tone, I appreciate it because I wan't posting the vid for us all to ogle at it with some popcorn), I was just about to reply saying I agree with your resoning but I also think is is incorrect in another way - we also have to ensure that people UNAWARE this goes on is made away that cruelty isn't history, is alive and well and is not as pretty when you see it rather than view it via a 'filtered' news report or second hand written or verbal description.

So instead of ignoring it why not view it, leave a remark explaining what is wrong about the vid AND report it to YouTube (for all the good reporting will do). And, why not make those people aware whio are niave enough not to know these things go on and are considered 'cool' in certain quarters.

Anyway, I much appreciate you coming back to apologise for you tone, its not a problem - group hug anyone?

Live feeding is a touchy subject in itself at the best of times but what these 'people' did in the video for purely for their entertainment, nothing to do with what was best for their animals.

If it hurts the beared dragon they are feeding (somone mentioned it will kill the beardy when digesting) then this is so wrong.

But whats the difference feeding a lizard, than say, a live mouse?

Who says live feeding one kind of animal is worse than feeding another, if you understand were im coming from?

I'm not in any way condoning (spelling :S) this.

Absolutely nothing - that is sick too when it is done for entertainment value alone, and that is just my personal oppinion, but I'm not going to get into my feelings on live feeding here.

My point in posting was:
Did the food have to be live? Was it suitable (which you rightly touched upon) and was there unnecessary suffering by an animal? For me in respect to this video the answers to those questions was NO. NO, and YES and that is why the video upset me the most and the reason for this thread.
