Default Dodgy breeder?

A mate of mine bought a candy something corn off a breeder that was regurging, after they had bought and received the snake via TNT they were told it was regurging, the snake died and then my friend had to prove to the breeder by sending the messages they had sent saying it was regurging to them.

Are there many breeders about like this with corns or is it just a small number like with other animals/reps?

I wouldn't have though that corn breeders were, on average, any more "dodgy" that breeders of other species. There are always a few bad eggs in the basket!

Having said that, there are so many corn breeders these days that I suppose it could be a challenge to actually sell the babies you produce at the best of times so maybe they do get a bit desperate.

I've never had any sympathy with anone who will not travel to collect an animal. if we can go to germany 3 or 4 times a year then surely anyone can drive the length or bredth of this country to collect an animal?

Likewise if someone tells me they courier their animals i tend to be a lot less friendly than normal.

So when I started out keeping reptiles when I was younger, I couldn't legally drive and my parents couldn't / wouldn't take me, then its my fault if I courier and get sent sh1t?

I don't see how it would make any difference sending a courier to get an animal or you going and picking it up, couriers I know would look after and transport the animals the exact same way as I would.

I'm 29, don't drive, and have still been all over the UK and to Germany to get reps.

personally I would never trust anyone as much as myself to look after my animals for me. The courier may be fantastic, but what if the seller has packages the animal incorrectly, what if the animal is not as described etc etc?

Just to clarify something, and i know what i am talking about cos we used to run our own courier fir before we sold it

TNT are not couriers, they are a more expensive Parcel Force
Their drivers drive around collecting upto 70 parcels a day, they then go back to your local depot where they are sorted and put on the overnight trunkng service to the delivering depot, they are then resorted and loaded onto the delivery truck and delivered to you. The same as any other overnght delivery service, and when you are loading and handling 1000s of parcels a night they dio get thrown around a bit. if you want to test a delivery service put a light bulb in an empty box and send it to a friend, see if it gets there unbroken.

Couriers are hand to hand, The same person delivers your parcel that collects it from you in the first place.

Reptile taxi, petwheels etc are couriers, Good Direct Deliveries, Hand to Hand not depot to depot to depot

I have never and will never use TNT to send any vertebrate, was unsure on the difference people could see between a courier (Pet Wheels, Rep Taxi etc) collecting for me rather than me myself collecting.

Apart from an animal not being as described I couldn't see any difference as I know the couriers I use wouldn't leave an animal badly packed.

Using one of the direct couriers is no different than collecting yourself

And i totally agree, No vertibrate animal should be sent any other way
