Default Reptiles do Good!

Hey,

I just thought it would be nice to post about something I have just read in the Local newspaper.

I dont know if anyone knows about it or anything but here goes:

'Lizards Will Be Helping To Shed The Summer Holiday Boredom.

Children with disabilities wont be bored during the summer holidays now that a playscheme has opened.

The Royal Borough's Early Years and Childcare service has launched this summers Flying High playscheme which will provide arts and crafts activities, as well as outdoor games and music for the children to take part in.

And there will be a number of visitors to see the youngsters, including some from the animal world which were on display at last Thursdays launch event when an animal handler brought in reptiles for the children to look at, ranging from a Water Dragon, to a Boa Constrictor.'

I just thought that was a really nice thing to do, and it has actually given people something good to talk about when it comes to reptiles. The person who did this should be proud of his/herself

I agree its great. they had something like this a couple of months back at my little girls school. A reptile place brought in snakes, tarantulas and all different kinds of inverts. and like you say it helps get rid of the bad reputation reptiles have.

The problem generally is that events like this don't get noticed.. or only slightly.. as soon as something bad happens its put out everywhere so people can see the bad things which have happened.
