Final importation costs
I have been given a good price on the cites and shipping from a big US breeder, but was wondering on what the final cost UK side are for tax (is this standard 17.5%) and the final vet check before they are released.
Dependant on that Im very tempted to place an order as the initial cites and delivery to heathrow or Gatwick is $705 (£350approx). Regards Tom

You need to look up the customs tarrif for what you are importing - this will give you the rate that customs duty is payable on the item you are importing. Then you also need to pay for customs clearance at this side.

15%import tax
vets fee customs fee agents fee then 17.5% on all that last shippment(small one of 5 ruschenbergeri) cost me £500 this side regards gaz

i wish that i knew how to export to there...i tried to find out but it is way too confusing for me...i'd do it for cost...gather up some things but i don't know how. i'm no big shot guy but i see deals from various people that i could send...i just don't know how to go about it....i figure that a contact here in herp land would be good....i just don't know where to start...stuff is so obscenely cheap here...

Tell me about it, I could have a most impressive morph collection for around $2000 for the prices some breeders charge in the US, i have seen pastels for $150, thats £75.
 You could be onto a right little winner if you worked it all out
