Just to stop you bumping again i'll reply, LOL

Yes, they are great but there are some conditions.

They need a humid environment and a good substrate to be as effective as possible. So that means no desert species and no newspaper.
You will end up with mites for a longer period and you must be willing to just let them run their course. One application isn't always enough so prepare to buy a second batch.

Something that holds humidity would be ideal. It depends how your preferences go, personally i'd choose coconut husk but others would go with orchid bark etc etc.

As for time, until you get no more mites.

Newspaper/kitchen roll is doable. I used both when my snakes had mites. What I did was to place a small shallow tray with moist soil in each cage/tub, put some hypoaspis miles mites onto this and keep it moist daily (also lightly sprayed the vivariums too). I repeated the application after 7-10 days with a brand new batch. Worked a treat!
