All you'd need is a cheap PC connected to the net in the shop where you can show people caresheets on line and they can see if it fits what they can look after and if they have enough space for the adult sized viv and afford the food etc.
When they buy something you can create them a user account on here and print it off along with the care sheet for their new critter so they know they've somewhere to come for advice
