Just wondered what if any are the rules/laws on buying live mice for food for my 2 snakes?

No there are no laws against it but it's not advised to feed live unless you really have to ie.a problem feeder but if it's that there are other things to try first..see here Feeding Tips Live feeding can harm you snake!!!

to be honest its a bit of a grey area, there are bits in the new animal welfare law that you could be prosecuted under for live feeding, and if the RSPCA took you to court and you didnt have a vets letter saying it was nessesary then you would more than likely be convicted and a hefty fine.
