thinking about opening a shop...
Hello everyone,
I have noticed that there is a distinct lack of dedicated shops around the cardiff and glamorgan areas, and am currently looking into opening one. But befor i do i need to know if there is any demand in the area?, and would also like to find out what you guys look for when selecting a shop to buy supplies/reps/vivs and etc from? thanks for reading my post, hope to hear from y'all soon Rob

ok so no-one owns a reptile in south wales? shocking!
 OK, im looking to open a shop that deals spefically with easy to care for begginer species and the equipment and supplies need to keep them, like Beardies, corns, leopard geckos ...etc. THe location is to be comfirmed but will likely be in or near cardiff. I need to find if there is a market for reptiles in the area otherwise there is no point setting up. so if anyone is near to or a little further afeild, i would really like to hear from you and ask you a few questions.

I dont live in Wales, but spend a lot of tiome in Shropshire which I supose isnt that far away.
I dont know if there is much demand but I would be willing to travel for a clean, well presented shop with knowledgeable staff. Only keeping beginner species is pointless imo, most beginners wont get their first rep from a specialist shop. I would rather see a nice selection of things the normal pet stores dont carry at competitive prices - I wouldnt travel to see leos and beardies.

It looks like I'm the only other Taff on here. I must admit I have only ocassionally used pet shops for anything because I tend to buy online (convenience and price). Feel free to ask me anything you want. Graham.

im no Taff! hehe, i had to move to wales cos its the only place i could afford to buy a house! i used to live in bedfordshire and bexleyheath before that
 The shop will stock most reps and will stock pretty much everything you see online. I will be opening the shop first and then roll out an internet store in a couple of months which should be matching (depending on intrest and orders as the more i buy the more discount i get) most online stores. Just out of intrest how far are most people willing to travel to a rep shop?
