Default bloody power cut

wow life without power is worse than no internet lol

what got me thinking when i was sat in the dark with just a few crappy candles as i not long moved in wasnt prepared lol

when people that have reps and have heat mats etc and u have a power cut is it quite dangerous for the reps as the lack of heat i mean i know most power cuts are only short just wonderd

Unless it was quite a long term thing, the snakes wouldnt be too badly affected really. The worst thing for snakes is excessive heat, they will die much more quickly if they are too hot than if they're cool, as their bodies go into a state of dormancy in cold weather.

It does make you think when something like that happens though!

cheers for that i just wonderd if there was any back up thing u would need but i guess if it was that extreme u could go where there was power but i guess that would be impossible for people with loads of snakes

Well when I remember Im going to buy some heat packs off the net so if the power stays off for a long time then I can put them in to keep them slightly warm.

i use bricks lol you may all laugh but i heat them up really hot in the oven (its a gas one) and wrap it in a teatowel so there is enough heat but not enough to burn and lay my rep on it works a treat

I dont think they have a shelf life as they're the kind of crack open ones... maybe they do but it wont be something stupid like 3 months... will probably be a good few years...I was looking in the garden shed a year ago and found glow sticks in there from about 1990.... and they still worked..
