Default The Quiz

Addressed mainly to T.Bo. Firstly, i was not trying to piss you off, or annoy you, i was more hoping for a discussion on the facts, as they are and new facts. What theorys are accepted in the hobby, and how they reflect the scoloaristic view and how far they are behind the general hobby.

As i said i was not looking for more marks, and even if i did get the ones on the questions i stated i would not win. I am Happy for Sami.

As for the typo, i put 1938 insted of 1937 on the Savador monitor question, and feel free to remove a mark there, or indeed any mark, it will not change anything.

Q8: Amphesbia (you spelt that wrong) and crocodiles are related to both snakes and lizards equally? remember EQUALLY is the key word there... if they are they are not widely recognised as being so unlike the Tuatara.

Well taxonmically they are, and more so that tuatara, and crocodillians, but true, they are genrally regarded as being equal relatives.

Q34: The question was not "what method can be used" it was "what can be used" - That would indicate we are talking about an instrument (probes).

I read it as simply what? rather than What object. Popping can be used. Guess its just the anal way i think through things.

Q3: Can Turtles breath through their skin? NO, in which case the answer IS correct.

And, you are also correct since "Breathe" is the prosess of inhaling/exhaling, which i just realised this second. Sea snakes breathe throguh their lungs and respire through their lungs.

Q7: We didnt want a Biology breakdown of every species, pretty much everyone else managed to understand the answer we wanted... its stupid to think that there would not be a slight exception to the rules with some 6,200 recognised Amphibian species.

True, but the question is "which is NOT" and that still applys to all of them...

Q14: I was checking any species I didnt recognise, the answers on that page were really my notes - you wanted me to specify that I wouldnt accept Kenyans??

Touche'e, but would you have taken kenyan sand boas as an answer ?

As for your score, what typo? I made it you scored 55... but I will deduct a point if you want... anyhow thanks for your input.

You will be pleased to know Dan that I have learnt something from doing this quiz... never bother doing one again!

I'll close this as the quiz is over and I really dont want to have to argue about nit picks.

Was the answer to question 3 no turtles CAN'T breathe through their skin ?

Many species of chelonian such as soft shells can survive almost entirely on cutaneous respiration.
