Default well i did it

come home today with a Nikon D80 and lense and a macro lens....god i have sooo much to learn its scary but i feel really good about this camera i went and handled loads and this one although not on my list i really fell in love with it, wish me luck

Good luck! Did you go with a nikon brand nikkor macro lens? If so/not what did you go for?

ok the kit lens i got a choice of 2 the i chose the AF 18-135 mm.... for the macro i chose the tamron Af 55 -200mm as it was cheaper than the others but it with this being my first slr i have plenty of time to get bits off kit for it at well better prices than high street no all i need is a clue

the macro lens u bought wont give u 1:1.as long as u know that..its a great lens..good for birds and stuff like that..i hope to get 100-400mm one day.

yeah i saw the 1.1 macro was a bit out of budget i had already blown my budget on the camera itself so had to behave...i love macro shots but not in any rush for a 1.1 lense in time maybe.... i dont do alot of macro work to be honest but would like to have a lense to do 1.1 you never know when it will be needed and missing those shots are gutting but i can live with that for the time being...i have a good starting point and need to learn alot before buying any more lenses

Lol yeah but still cannot part with the fuji so i have given it to martin he does car shows n stuff will suit hm down to the ground....i decided rather than get so used to the digital learn its ways ect ect i may as well start with an slr from the get go i am gonna have the cam for a long time and learn from scratch using it. theres a free 10 week course near by..... the only draw back is its starts at 6pm and i dont finish work in time and theres no way they will let me out early if they think its to better myself!!!! even if i offer to work through my breaks
