Default best "reasonably" priced cam for macro

well, i am REALLY getting in to my photography and keep seeing pics from the likes of macrojunkie and Angie etc and i want to be able to (attempt) to take pics of the same type of quality...i love trying to get as closer pic as i can to show detail you just wouldn`t normaly see...so what camera would be best to go for? i am a total noob with cameras so please be gentle with me

2nd hand canon 400d.rember if u ever want to get super close like me canon are the only ones that have a lens that goes past 1:1 life size..i use the 400d..its a greast camara.if u can afford it get the 450d thats just come out..475£ for the body from kerso.it has live view and bigger lcd screen,.

.2nd hand 400d mayby cost 200-250£?

your want a canon or sigma macro lens.

I would agree with mj, the Canon 400d is excellent, a friend of mine has been showing me his and I am very impressed. But you will find a lot of people also like Nikon cameras too. But I am only a beginner too so Im mainly going on what I have read and friends experiences.

If you just want a more simple camera (i.e. not an SLR) but that still takes great up close photos, i highly recommend the Pentax w10... its waterproof and the macro function is awesome.
I took all of the photos here on my w10... Spring has Sprung.... some garden shots from today!

I'm a big fan of my Nikon D80, but also really like the tiny Nikon dscT10
compact, which has a great macro facility
Would aggree with all above reccomendations, the canons are excellent.

i use a nikon D50 which isb quite good
