try colouring the water and try and get a colourfull background.im sure it would look better then.and if u put it on f/11 u would get every thing in focus..iv see some amazing series of these by some guy at the canon forum..he was using shutter speed 200 f/11..il try and find the link for u..

not sure..i think he was using a bowl of water full to the top..then he got almost level with the bowl..behind the bowl was coloured background.try the settings i said and use a flash is u ain't already.

ahh i see ty huni... was the sink and half full...need to inest in some backgrounds and convert my utility room into a mini studio...at the moment im just using what i have at hand lol have taken all on board dont think they are great but not too bad for a first timer it can only get better....well i bloody hope so just got a tripod off ebay, velbon for £3.99 bargin lol
