N95 Camera not as good as a cheap crappy camera?
Just curious as to why the N95's "5mp" camera isn't even as good as some cameras I've had for years?
Should i give up hope of ever getting a good picture from it and just buy a new digital cam? I mean i take a pic of my beardie and his colours look completely different! Not only that but sometimes i can't get a pic atall because the flash decides to come on and blurrs everything!

You need to learn to use the camera first... pixels don't matter. My SLR only has 6mpx.
Firsty why not try to lower the flash intensity, make a diffuser like a sheet of baking tray paper. Thats worked for me in the past. You need to figure out how to control the exposure and other features. Set the camera up right and you will get good pictures

Sorry should have stated a bit: Nokia N95 my mobile phone. As far as i am aware you can't really change anything on it; i've used and set up proper cameras in the past and i do take nice shots but on my phone they tend to be rubbish.

Thats because it's a phone, not a camera :-p
If you have no control over the technical stuff then you can't complain about the pictures.

if its a camara phone then you need to get a real camara...buy a 2nd hand canon 400d with 18-55mm lens...get one for mayby 250£..i use the 400d its bad ass..

it's not a bad cam, but it's a phone, it's only ever really gonna be a "funny moment down the pub" job

the n95 is a good camera u need to play around with the setting and turn the flash off auto !! it has a carl zeiss lense mine has taken better photos the a digital cam sometimes
it has this thing when u take a pic a box appears if it goes red bad photo caus u moved if its green (normally when u let it auto adjust) its perfect !! work in mobile phones sorry !!
