Default Urban Bristol in HDR

This is the first time I have ever deliberately taken shots of a city and to be honest it was nice to take my time to walk around Bristol and get to know it in a different way as I have only lived here for 3 years. I was pleasantly surprised at what I found and can now say that I do like the city, whereas previously I did not think a great deal of it. Anyway, enough waffle here are some HDR versions of some of the shots I took, there will be more to come. I would love to hear what people think, whether good or bad - I know HDR is not to everyones tastes and I think I have used it quite "strongly" for want of a better description.
Here we go

Urban river
I really like the result on this one, and think it has almost a painted/postcard ish look.

The corner shop, right in the heart of Bristol city.

Urban tavern

More of the "tavern"

Time out
This guy was having a drink next to a derelict old church in Bristol city centre and was happy to have his photograph taken.

Urban lunchbreak. A lot of city workers take their lunchbreak around this area overlooking the Avon river, you can just spot one.

One pic as there was too much movement from people, birds and cars etc. But my other shots in the naked physalis thread were done with three shots, not much difference in the result either.

They are brilliant, have just been staring at them for ages.

Yeah, I have seriously stretched the post processing to the limits, sometimes I do it this way other times I use it in a more subtle way, and others quite desaturated. My problem is I love to create different looks, enjoying the photoshop work just as much as the photography.

Absolutely amazing - really bloody amazing

I reckon, printed off onto canvas, these would sell like hot cakes Angi - they are wonderful to add a bit of real life to the walls
