Question Leo genetics...

Awhile ago I observed that my RAPTOR male is a female and now I'm without a male.

I have Patternless Red Stripe het APTOR, 2 RAPTOR's and APTOR het RAPTOR females without a male. So, who should I breed them with to get the best looking hatchlings? I have a Mack Snow male, Super hypo co-dominant snow male, Hypo male and Super Snow male (too small to breed yet).

If I breed my RAPTOR female to my Mack snow male, I would get what? Mack snow 100% het RAPTOR, right?

If I then breed the Mack snow 100% het RAPTOR's together what do I get?

And what if I breed Mack snow 100% het RAPTOR to my APTOR het RAPTOR, APTOR and Patternless Red Stripe het APTOR, what do I get?

Thank you very very very much for answering, I really appreciate it

hi welcom to the forum, i'd use your mack snow male with your raptors then their offspring would be 50%mack snow het eclipse then breed these to your super snow next season to get some nice reduced spotting or breed them togeather to posibly get albino mack super snows and sell some to me lol. i'm probably wrong by the way but i'm sure gazz will be along soon to sort you out

Mack snow X albino eclipse patternless striped = 50% mack snow het albino & eclipse AND 50%Normal-ish het albino & eclipse. All trait carriers of jungle, striped, reverse striped, patternless striped. Then breed the offspring for one generation back to each other you'll get a new surprize with each egg that hatch's.

It's a shame your super snow is't big enough as super snow X albino eclipse patternless striped = 100% mack snow het albino & eclipse.

Gaz, been following the 'raptor'/mack snow threads and the posts made by you and SSthisto - very informative TY to both.

We're putting our MSS to a 'raptor' and intend to put the offspring together next year so we can expect some surprises!! Forest Gump - eat your heart out!!!

So, if I breed my Mack Snow to my Patternless red stripe het Aptor I will get 50% Mack's het for albino and 50% normals het for albino and eclipse...and all will carry genes for jungle, striped, reverse striped and patternless striped...did I understand you correctly?

My male Super Snow is now about 10 months, so I might be able to breed him with her end of this year.

Thanks for your help, I will soon bother you again

Though your patternless stripe het albino may well be het eclipse as a lot are it not stated as such.So Mack snow X patternless striped het albino = 50%mack snow het albino and 50%normal het albino. All will be T'carriers of jungle, striped, reverse striped, patternless striped.

To prove your patternless stripe het albino to be het eclipse you'll have to breed it to a albino eclipse patternless striped and if you get any offspring expressing the eclipse gene. Then you patternless stripe het albino will be a 100% het eclipse also.

APTOR-is a Albino patternless striped.
RAPTOR-is a Albino eclipse patternless striped.
