Right, I am quite good at genetics in general even if i do say so myself.
But I want to do it the best way. I want to make a 'patternless albino super snow' in the end. I have a patternless female. Do I get a macksnow female or macksnow male and what albino ? m or f ? Also what type of albino ? And in which order would you do it . Thanks ![]() |

you could get a male mack albino and breed it to the female giving you:
50% normal het for albino and patternless 50% mack het for albino and patternless you can then breed the mack double het offspring to give you mack snow patternless albino, you might get patternless albino super snow. |

id start off with a Patternless albino and Mack supersnow.
Breed these and the outcome will be 100% macksnow het patternless and albino Breed them together and you have a 1/16 chance of patternless albino supersnow i think. im rubbish at this sort of thing tho so someone please confirm that im right or correct me lol.

There are a number of ways to do the breeding, depending on where you start. Patternless albino and Mack supersnow would be a good starting point if the animals are available and you have the money. You might be able to save a bit by going with a Mack snow, but I'm not sure how much. If possible, try for a Mack snow that is also either het albino or het patternless. Mack snow het albino x patternless albino --> 1/4 Mack snow albino het patternless Mack snow albino het patternless x Mack snow albino het patternless --> 1/16 Mack super snow albino patternless If I had to start with an albino, a patternless, and a Mack snow, I'd get two females and a male, with the male being either a patternless or an albino. One female would be a Mack snow, and the other would be either patternless or albino, whichever the male is not. Lets say the male is albino. First generation -- keep the Mack snow het albino and the het albino het patternless and breed them together. Second generation -- keep the Mack snow albino. These are also 50% probability het patternless. You can breed these together, and on the average, a quarter of the matings would be Mack snow albino het patternless x Mack snow albino het patternless. Or you could breed to patternless geckos to find some Mach snow albinos that are proven het patternless. Then breed Mack snow albino het patternless x Mack snow albino het patternless as above. Good luck. |
