Default fat-leopard-tails?

there is a thread in lizards( Can you keep leopard geckos and fat tail geckos together?) thats about fat tails and leos being compatible, it states that if bred together the babies produced are infertile, can anyone elaborate?

Well never say never there are alot of reptile hybrids and it's just nieve to assume a leo X fattail would produce offspring it's very unlikely they will be fertail but not 100% that they will be infertail you won't know till it happens and there rebred.Meny reptiles you do have to trick them into crossing and i'd say leo's & fat tail would be the same. After all man has bred a cannible snake speices(king snake) to a speices not known for cannibalism(rat snake) to give us king-corns/jungle corns so anything possible. There is a RUMA floating but i must stress is a RUMA there has been no proven evidence given ie pictures'etc that in USA a leo/fat tail hybrid was perduce but it was said to have died soon after hatching. Now meny hatching reptile die after birth so it is silly to say it died coz it was a hybrid before anyone goes there .But like i said as far as i'm concerned seeing is beleaving so IMO the door is closed BUT not locked.
