Default Blizzards & Patturnless.

What are the likely combinations of hatchlings from breeding

blizzard with a patternless
(we know these contain genetics to make banana blizards but whats the likelyness)

and

patternless mack snow with a patternless
(we'd have thought patternless but with MS being dominant would this effect it?)

Thanks

Blizzard to patternless = 100% normal het blizzard and patternless.

Patternless Mack to Patternless = 50% chance of Patternless
50% chance of Mack Patternless.

How do you get banana blizzards then? Not that we intend to get them, just curious

breed your blizard to your patternless and you'll get normal looking offspring het for blizard and patternless, breed these offspring together for a 1 in 16 chance of producing a banana they hatch yellow with a yelow head and pink tail but no patternless hatchling spots (i think)

In practice, though the proportions SAY it should be one in sixteen, it is apparently more difficult to get Patternless and Blizzard to be homozygous in the same animal. At this time there is only one proven Banana Blizzard in the world that I know of - no other gecko has been test-bred against patternless mates and produces nothing but patternless when bred to them.

I don't know exactly what a Banana Blizzard hatchling looks like - but the only proven adult I've seen has a grey top of the head, with yellow 'racing stripes' down the sides of the head, a yellow back and a white tail. If a gecko hatches with a yellow head, I'd be more inclined to assume it is a patternless and does not necessarily carry Blizzard at all.
