It looks to me like it's something similar to how a "normal" winds up being a Miami or an Okeetee - it appears to be a selectively bred appearance where you start with two that look as close to what you want as you can find, breed them together, keep the ones that look even closer to what you want, breed them together, and so on.

It is so frustrating, doh.
the halloween morph seems to be a hit and miss trait, ie you can breed 2 halloweens together and never produce another, but you could try a different halloween male or female and produce many for a few years , its very rare to constantly produce them though. ( so some pairings seem to be semi genetic ) . (halloween = orange and black bands or rich yellow and black bands ( the black may be extra wide or the orange/yellow or both). The Oreo Trait acts the same as the halloween. (Oreo = cream and black bands or white and black bands (the black may be extra wide or the cream or both). if you breed 2 reverse halloweens together, you will produce more in every clutch (its genetic), the reverse halloween trait is white or cream insted of orange or yellow, with extra extra wide black bands.
