Default Pinstripe Crestie

Hi everyone,

Got a new male Crestie today, and to me it looks like it has some pinstripe in it, so got a couple of questions, firstly, a couple of pictures to show what I think is the pinstriping.

Right then, I know that if it is pinstripe, it's not a full pinstripe. But still got a couple of questions:
  1. The main one, does that have pinstripe in it, just so someone can confirm it for me or can tell me I'm wrong!
  2. If it is pinstriping, when bred from in the future, could that pass on a full pinstripe trait? Or would any offspring from it always have the possibility of pinstripe patterning, just never have a full pinstripe?
Thanks,

Tom

as far as I know, there has not really been any research into crestie genetics, so its a case of suck it and see, no one really knows what will be passed on and what wont

if you put 2 pins together, your more likely to get pins out, but its not 100%
with cresties its very random.

basically the morph your crestie looks like ( although im not 100%)

is a chevron partial pinstripe

i would need to see it fully fired up... to see what the back markings fire up like

mating two cresties together is pot luck..

it seems to be its more LIKELY if you mate two partial pinners otgether the babies wil have some pinner markings.., but theres no way of telling and certainly no way of knowing how much pinstripe
