Breeding corns

Hey

i was just wondering as i'm researching into breeding cornsnakes, how many clutches do corns have per year as a general rule. If its more than one is this a good idea, i mean would it have any negative effects on the female. Also how many eggs do they tend to lay in one clutch? Thanks

one is ideal, from say 3 years..
some double clutch of their own, other times breeders do it intentionally.
they breed upto about 10 comfortably, but many females will exceed this.

groovy. im still after a blood red...gonna see if the owner of my local rep shop can find a good un for me.

yeh i remember being told, 3 years old, 300grams, i'm sure there was another 3 jus cant remember what it is.

Also do they tend to lay at the same time every year or do corns lay all year round. I know you can cool them over winter to encourage mating but was wondering if there are "normal" guidelines.

i got an adult female i could sell.. from what i can tell shes probably outcrossed, but as i havent got any relatives, and you probably wont have there that should be fine...

it wont be for a while. need to sort cash out. also need to sort housing etc. how much would you be looking for and will you be selling a viv with her just as an extra idea. cheers

i use racks so i dont often sell equipment.. i usually send people to the local shop for that lol..
i have no idea on price, not the sort of thing that turns up too much so wouldnt be cheap.

aye thats the thing. i'm still thinkin of gettin a baby...i'm hopin to go to Doncaster show in Sept, i'm gonna have a look there too. i'm in no rush, i will find the perfect girl for my lad!! cheers for clearin this stuff up...again.
