Default spider royal?

Hi there just a quick one. I know that the spider morph is a dom gen, but what is the co-dom form?

As far as I know, spider is not proven anything but not recessive. By that test, spider is some kind of dominant mutant gene. But in my opinion, whether it's a full dominant or not is still up in the air.

The vast majority of spiders have a spider mutant gene paired with a normal gene (heterozygous spider). Some people have mated spider to spider to try for the homozygous spider (pair of spider mutant genes), but as far as I know, nobody has reported a homozygous spider by breeding test.

A homozygous spider may look like a heterozygous spider. Or a homozygous spider may die as a very young embryo, so the egg looks like a slug. Or nobody wants to do the necessary testing. Or something else may be going on. Your guess is as good as mine.

Hope this helps.

spider is co dom, but there is a dom form that looks exactly the same as a co dom,
the difference is, if you breed a spider to a normal you will get maybe 4 out of 6 eggs spiders, but if it is a dom spider you will get all spiders, however, people can't sell them as dominant spiders, because as babys they are the same looking etc, so a breeder would have to breed the spider to a normal and see, but that would take years so is sold as spider
i know a few big breeders and thats what i have been told, also i have seen the eggs from many normal spiders to normals and gat normals in the clutch, proving that it can't be dominant
