Default Yay for screwfix

today I got the self adhesive cable tie bases and cable ties (100 of each for just over £3)

to anchor the vines I had bought as the suckers didn't suck

here's the results

they hold the vine and the weight of the snakes there are two per vine and the ties are loose enough to slip the vines "stem" out to allow proper viv cleaning.

screw fix do them in 2 sizes and 2 colours

19mm and 25mm bases

and they take 3.6mm ties for the 19mm base (size I have) and 4.8mm ones for the 25mm base

ooo i shall be getting some of those for the new BRB viv, im lining the wood in PVU so i can keep the humidity up without the wood blowing. Not keen on drilling through for the vines and plants as it can shatter. Thats a brilliant solution, thanks for posting.
