those pics are breath taking. you are so very lucky to live in such a beautiful place, anything remotely like that near me would have at least 1 shopping trolley and 10 beer cans floating in it.

so amazing that u can just go there anytime.

no, it's nice and yes, it's right down the road... a great party place. but i've seen some pics of britain and they were just as nice. i especially like the rugged scottish scenes and ireland... i'm a big fan of history and you guys have places that i can only dream of seeing. being decended from the original british colonists and my family being cut off from the rest of america for almost all of american history, i like seeing british things... it's my roots if you will. yeah, i could easily feel at home in the scottish highlands and other places... must be in my genes. scenes like i posted are a dime a dozen here in kentucky.... but i never take them for granted. my only dissapiontment is that the U.K. has over time lost so many of it's wild places... it's a shame that the government or people haven't done more to restore some of those places. not that you all haven't done a lot, you have... i just couldn't live very long in a place without wild places... it's good for the soul. it keeps you solid and close to the real things in life. i go to these places which are common here and just sit.... get my bearings in this life. smelling the earth and seeing wildlife living as they always have is much better than prozac or whatever people take to fill that void that they have...

yeah your right the uk does have some stunning places, like the highlands, lake district etc, but its such a small country with so many people, a lot of wild land has and still is being made into housing and induatrial sites, and it is such a shame, hopefully the remaining wild lands will be kept in tact, i would think a lot of the larger ones are protected by law from any developments and projects. still the uk has some lovely bits, but for some people not very many close by and have to travel away to get to them, your lucky to have that on your doorstep. also habu, you are quite the photographer, i must say. some lovely pics, very skillful with the camera there. x
