im wanting to add a big rock to one of my vivs so are garden ones ok and is it just a case of boiling it a couple of times first ?

yh, boil it a few times and give it a good scrub and it should be fine

proberly sounded a bit stupid but the reason i asked was i didint want to put something in there with all sorts of nasty bacteria and i didnt know if i needed to do anything else but boil it

you could scrub it with a 10% bleach solution..
