Im building vivs at the moment, but was wondering what sealant to use?

Thanks.

what are you making it out of and what's going in it although i'm guessing melamine.

I've never sealed a viv and temps etc have always been fine.

Its white melamine board. Leos are going in it, I want to seal it as they always knock their water over. I dont want it seeping in the edges.

it has fungisides in it so i would be wary of using it
use aquarium sealant to be on the safe side.its clear so it will look fine.

I need white though as the viv has a couple little gaps where its chipped.

What about tile grout? Thats what I used to grout my beardies viv with and was told it was fine?

Thanks.

look for a builders type sealant as this normally does not contain fungisides or give off nast fumes, i would use tile grout for the edges as i think it would crack due it being quite thin and it would not penetrate the conti to get a grip

Thanks for the advice.
What is builders type sealant though?
Does it have a specific name?

Thanks.
