Default Bamboo poles

Thinking of getting one of those bamboo poles from B&Q and cutting it up for the tokay, whats the best way to get them to stay on the walls.
Like brackets or hooks or something and where is the best place to get them?

poor little tokay you mustn't hang him on the walls - he should be able to stay up there all by himself....... !!!!

(shouldn't say this but I get an image of Hannibal Lechter in his face mask when I think of your tokay!!!!!)

if he's in a wooden viv why not just cut them to rough lengths and kind of stack some diagonally across the viv?? or put some little screws or eyes into the viv where you want the poles to be and cable tie the bamboo to the screw or eye??

i've used the same for my royal..

you might be able to see on the walls are u-shaped brackets that cost about £2.50 each from B&Q. Screw them onto the wall to hold in place and then use cable ties to hold the bamboo in.

if you've got an all glass viv, you could always use silicone sealant, should easilly hold the weight of a tokay! good luck

depending on thickness I use milkbottle tops (green is best colourwise) and cut some of the side off so there is still enough to hold the bamboo in place. then glue the lids to the viv (mine are glass)
you then have a holder that you can remore the bamboo from for cleaning. I suppose with a tokay you may need a bigger holder
