Glass tanks are not very practical.
- lose heat quickly - so expensive to heat - glass can crack either from being knocked or from heat source - glass can be sharp and damage the snake and you - only access is from the top which isn't ideal for snakes or lizards - no ventilation If you really wanted to use a glass tank I suppose you could drill vents, but you'd have to know how to do it and you'd probably damage a dozen tanks before you got it right. Adding sliding door to the front isn't a problem, it's all the other problems that make this a non-starter.
