Talking Big Hut Conversion !!!!! Help

Hey gang i have a 7ft x 6ft x 6ft hut.. Used to be my dads pigeon hut, he bought it and then decided to get rid og pigeons....so its in great nick.

I was gonna turn it into a snake room. Was wondering how i would manage and go about getting it up to standard tho... such as insulation and getting electricity in. Also if any of you guys have big outside reptile rooms how do you keep ambient temperature up... I am in scotland so its gonna need heat a lot???

Any help... ideas, suggestions... and examples would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks WllCr

So is it just a simple timber shed? how waterproof is it? You need to make sure its pretty watertight before you start installing any electrics or insulation. I'd pack as much insulation into walls as you can, and also into the roof. May also be worth using insulated plasterboard to start to mount things from.

Get it completly watertight and then fill between each stud with insulation, you dont want any moisture to rot the insulation though. Then I'd sandwich the insualtion with a layer of insulated plasterboard to give you clean walls to work from. Would also be worth raising and insulating the floor. The more you insulate it the less you will need to heat it.
