Default My reptile room plans...

Hello. I am soon to be building a 6'x4'x3' viv for my bosc, and i was just wandering about the other vivs...

So, i have a breeding pair of corns, a 2' brb, and a bearded dragon. If i built 2 other 6'x4' vivs on top of each other on the original 6'x4' viv, then i have 3 6'x4' vivs. However if i split the 2 in half, making 4 3'x4' vivs then i have vivs for the 2 corns, my bearded dragon and my brb.

Does that sound ok? I know that the vivs will be facing a strange way, being 4' from front to back, but i doubt that will be a problem. The corns can have 3'x4'x1' and the brb and bd can have 3'x4'x'2 as they both climb.

I was thinking of making the partitions in the corn viv removable so i can remove it as i may, in future have a single large snake in there!

Also, wasnt going to make a straight stack, i was thinking of having them all seperate. even you they wouldnt fit through they door, i could take them apart if i ledt the screws visable.

Do you think that sounds like a plan? Would my 2' BRB be ok going into a 3'x4' viv? I doubt he would be bothered really.

Thanks.

Just remember when making the bottom viv that it is a huge amount of weight to support all those vivs on top, you may need to have different sections of glass, and there will definitely need to be a support or two otherwise it will begin to bow, and the glass will become difficult to slide and impossible to remove.

Wow, quick reply, quick reader lol.

I thought on that, i was thinking of having an arch in the bottem and middle vivs, half way to support it, also the doors will be perspex hinged doors with wooden frames.
