Default What's the best/prefered substrate for corns?

I have an 07 corn, I've always kept her on beech chips. I take her out and feed her in another tank so as not to cause impaction.

Cleaning out dropping always seems to be a nite mare with the stuff.

Wot else can I use, what the prefered substrate for corns?

Cheers

I use aspen for all three of my corns, and they seem to love it, they all burrow through it. It's also really good for spot cleaning. Hope this helps.

Aspen is the best but obvetsally take off substrate for eating as it could be easily caught in the food (as aspen is almost like hay)

Ah yes, good point! With aspen you do have to take them out for feeding, but for that I just use a plastic storage box which I wipe down each time to collect any dust off it. Then move them back across gently as soon as they've eaten.
