Default Metal Glass Rails

Having a problem with my metal rails that hold the glass in. Its starting to get difficult to open the glass as its scratching itself on the metal rail.

Can i get anything for the glass to rest on so it slides nice?

you could try cutting thin strips of lino and using them to line the bottom of the rail furrows. I've got one strip for the front piece of glass on my beardies viv because the glass is a bit loose. It works well and the glass slides along it perfectly.

Washing up liquid will also do the trick.

Vaseline or washing up liquid will attract dirt and sand, candle wax should work ok for a while but you'll need to keep adding more wax. Could you replace them with plastic runners?
