Default pine?

just double checking that pine is ok for vivs and wondering where the cheapest place to get hold of some is if it is ok? ill be making quite a few so dont wanna make them and then find out i cant use them lol!
the plan is to make 3X18's with a corner shelf in the two back corners for extra floor space!

Pine shavings and chips are toxic to reptiles. I would steer clear if i were to be on the safe side. Why not go for pine-veneered wood - pine is usually expensive isn't it? Get yourself down to a local timber yard and see what they have there. Quite suprised nobody else has told you pine is toxic. If i'm wrong - please let me know

no you're right, pine oil is toxic to reps.

you'd have to treat the wood anyway to stop in absorbing any liquids, so i'm not sure if it'd be safe once varnished or covered inside with hardboard/vinyl or something. but i'm sure someone will know.
