Hello
![]() Does anybody know categorically whether Acers are toxic to lizards (specifically Yemen Chamelons)? I know they are toxic to some animals (horses) but not to many others. I want to pretty up his enclosure and give him more branches to climb, and I have a spare one in a large pot in my garden. Although my Yemen does not eat plant matter when offered, I wouldn't like to take the risk without knowing. He currently has a network of natural branches that fell in a woods nearby, as well as a couple of ficus bushes. In addition, I do sometimes let locusts out in his tank so it could enter his food chain in that way should the Acer be introduced. Many thanks. |

Japanese, and didn't think about the seasonal thing although I should have
![]() I don't think it would be too hot in the tank for the plant and they would get regular waterings like the ficus, but thinking about it, the seasonal thing wouldn't work anyway, regardless of toxic / non-toxic question. Thanks for making me think a little deeper about it |

you'd be better with a evergreen plant, give's them some cover so they feel safer.
