Default Hurrah!

Ooooo yea! Im having viv stack built as we speak...Tis looking rather funkified if I dont say so myself

Started it last night, after a load of crap with the dude at homebase cutting the wood all skewiff! We went and had a shout at them and we managed to get 2 sheets of wood cut instead of the 1 sheet that was wrong Twits...

So yea, started last night, got the shell of it done, and now the OH is putting on the plinths and the backing, then the runners tomoro, then the glass after that...

It was going to be a lot bigger but we decided to actually make 2 so that we have more versatility with moving them around etc. Its 6ft tall, 2 ft wide, and 2ft deep...which I have to say I didnt think would be very big as Iv only ever seen the standard 2ft vivs, like the 15/18 in deep ones....But the extra 6 or so inches makes a big difference!!! Theres 5 vivs in this stack, and the other one is going to have 4 with one being an arboreal viv. Which is going to look spiffing!!

Hehe! Had to share...I'll maybe post a pic after tonights progress, all that will be missing from it is the runners and glass

You've done a cracking job there, I wanted to do mine in the beech effect, but the cost difference between that and white is around £10 per sheet lol.

I know what you mean about the staff that use the cutting machines, I had to explain my measurements which were in mm, cm and inches, just to make it easy, plus repeatidly tell him that it wasn't for a shelf as he had no idea what a vivarium was!

Great stuff.
