The thing i have found best for sticking runners onto vivs is aquarium sealent.Just run a bead onto the runner back and put it in position then use some masking or electical tape to hold it in place untill the sealent sets

Before using new adhesive remove old stuff first from runners and viv as it could react with new stuff.
If using silicone just use a thin smear as too thick it will squidge out of the sides.

Am just a few miles from you down the M3 in Camberley.

use a razor blade to score scratches in the bottom of the plastic runner.
this way the glue or mastic can adhire to the scratches and wen u bang it it shud hold strong
