Unhappy Crickets Escaping!

Since I received my new viv stack from Wharf Aquatics, I've had more escapee's than I care to mention (especially if my wife reads this!).
I figured they were getting in between the sliding glass doors where they overlap, and escaping to freedom Steve McQueen style under the cloak of darkness.

I've solved this temporarily with masking tape - however there has to be a better, more aesthetic solution to stop the little bast-... er I mean crickets escaping only to make an appearance at the breakfast table the next morning.

The glass seems quite loose in the runners, almost like it could do with being 1mm thicker. Would this help, as I rarely had them escape from the old vivs.

I put that insulation stuff between where the glass overlaps in the middle.. that stuff you can put round doors when they have a draught.. it's sticky backed and kinda carpet-like. a bit furry so it fits tight but still lets the glass move easily.

Thanks Brat - do the crickets eat it? It's a DIY weekend, so I'll pick some up when I'm at B&Q. Another job for the scroll.

Carpet-like draft excluder applied. Works like a charm, thanks. £3.50 from B&Q for more than enough.

RE the runners - I think you're all right. Glass seems too big for the runners.
